Our rodeo season is well underway with some exciting shows coming up here over the next couple of weekends (and a couple behind us).
Thank you to all of the volunteers and teams who attended the Siksika Nation Indoor Wild Horse Race last month. We had an amazing 11 teams in attendance and everything went off without a hitch.
We would also like to thank all of the competitors travelling down the road to our shows in BC. We know it's a long jaunt for most of you, but appreciate the support.
Don't forget, the only way to qualify for our Invitational 2016 CWHRA BC Provincial Finals in Quesnel this September is to attend these shows. The top 6 teams will then compete for a chance to win three Trophy Buckles and the title of 2016 CWHRA BC Provincial Champions. We hope to see you all out there!
This upcoming weekend we will have 9 teams representing the CWHRA at the annual Cowboys for a Cure rodeo in Cochrane Alberta. This is a very exciting fundraising event with proceeds going to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, so come on out and cheer on your favourite team.
Draws have been posted for the Kispiox, Water Valley, Princeton and 100th Annual Hand Hills Lake Stampede. Make sure you take a look and determine which dates you are set to compete.
Just a heads up that the Wild Horse Race will be running in Hand Hills at 11:45am, so be sure you arrive in time.
We are looking forward to see how the next few shows pan out and to see who will be in the running for our BC Provincial Finals.
Good Luck everyone!
